CRAWLEY firefighters were called into action last night (July 23) after a woman crashed her car into a tree.
An emergency call was made at 10.33pm and one fire engine was sent to the scene from Crawley Fire Station, as well as two from Horsham.
On arrival firefighters discovered the tree had fallen across the road.
They cut one of the tree's branches, which was blocking one of the car's doors, to free the woman.
She had crashed on Brighton Road, in Lower Beeding, and suffered no injuries.
