SUSSEX Police have released the names of 28 people who will be appearing in court on suspicion of drink driving.
The drivers are being named in the hope that it will act as a deterrent to stop people getting people behind the wheel when over the limit.
It is part of the police force's summer crackdown on drink and drug driving - called Operation Dragonfly.
A total of 76 people have now been charged this month as part of the operation.
Superintendent Jane Derrick, the head of the force's roads policing unit, said: "A large proportion of those who we are arresting are being found behind the wheel in the early hours of the morning.
"If you think you can get away with drink driving at 1am you should think again.
"Our officers are out on patrol looking for the slightest indication that you are unfit to be on the roads.
"You are not just putting your own life at risk, you are endangering everyone else using the roads."
The 28 individuals who will be appearing in court are:
*Shivam Patel, 21, was arrested at 2.30am on 22 June in Exchange Road, in Crawley town centre, after he was seen driving at speed. Patel, of Leveret Lane, Langley Green, was charged with drink-driving and released on bail to appear at Crawley Magistrates' Court on 9 July.
*Andrew Sheppard, 47, was arrested at 3.10pm on Tuesday 17 June after his car was stopped in Spithurst Road, Barcombe. Sheppard, of Spithurst Road, Barcombe, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 31 July.
*Dean Powell, 32, was arrested at 8.15pm on 17 June after she was stopped by a patrol in Victoria Drive, Bognor Regis. Powell, of Heathway, Iver, Buckinghamshire, was charged with drink driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. He was released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 30 September.
*Chloe McCullough, 26, was arrested at 8.55pm on 17 June after officers were called to a crash on the A259 in Hove. McCullough, of Mill Hill, Shoreham, was charged with failing to provide a specimen and assaulting a police officer. She was released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 31 July.
*Joanne Dennett, 49, was arrested at 2.20pm on Wednesday 18 June after she was found in a car with the engine running in Albany Villas, Hove. Dennett, of Harbour Way, Shoreham, was charged with failing to provide a specimen and was released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 7 August.
*Carrie Colliss, 52, was arrested at 10.25pm on 18 June after her car was seen being driven erratically in Burgh Hill Road, Chiddingly. Colliss, of Chapel Lane, Blackboys, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 6 August.
*Roy Hunt, 64, was arrested at 11.25pm on 18 June after his car was stopped in Perimeter Road South at Gatwick Airport. Hunt, of Ascot Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Crawley Magistrates' Court on 9 July.
*Cherie Ashton, 44, was arrested at 10.40pm on Thursday 19 June in Marina, St Leonards, after she turned the wrong way down a one-way street. Ashton, of Marina, St Leonards, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 6 August.
*Patrick Cunningham, 40, was arrested at 10.30pm on 19 June after he was seen getting into a car outside a pub in Devonshire Square, Bexhill. Cunningham, of Jarvis Brook Close, Bexhill, was charged with drink driving and assault. He was released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 6 August.
*Daryl Benson, 21, was arrested at 11.50pm on 19 June after his car was seen being driven in the dark with no lights on in George Street, Hailsham. Benson, of Harebeating Drive, Hailsham, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 6 August.
*Freyan Eames, 41, was arrested at 12.30am on Friday 20 June after officers stopped his car in Hyde Gardens, Eastbourne. Eames, of Millbrook Gardens, Eastbourne, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 6 August.
*James Martin, 22, was arrested at 12.40am on 20 June after officers were called to a crash in Orchard Way, Barnham. Martin, of Orchard Way, Bognor Regis, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 7 October.
*Daniella Johnson, 22, was arrested at 1.05am on 20 June after officers stopped her car in London Road, Pyecombe. Johnson, of Chanctonbury Road, Burgess Hill, was charged with drink driving and driving without insurance. She was released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 7 August.
*George Thorpe, 22, was arrested at 5.30am on 20 June after his car was stopped because it was being driven without a valid MOT certificate in Hartington Road, Brighton. Thorpe, of Stanford Avenue, Brighton, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 7 August.
*Nigel Fraser-Gausden, 60, was arrested at 11pm on 20 June after his car was seen being driven with only one headlight on in Carlisle Road, Eastbourne. Fraser-Gausden, of Carlisle Road, Eastbourne, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 13 August.
*Mariusz Lullis, 24, was arrested at 11.40pm on 20 June after his motorbike was seen being driven erratically in Steyne Street, Bognor Regis. Lullis, of no fixed address, was charged with drink driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. He was released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 7 October.
*Laszlo Balogh, 40, was arrested at 2.40am on Saturday (21 June) after his car was stopped in Marina, St Leonards. Balogh, of Kenilworth Road, St Leonards, was charged with drink driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. He was released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 13 August.
*Daniel Jones, 32, was arrested at 7.15pm on 21 June after his car was stopped by officers in Maltravers Road, Littlehampton. Jones, of Bayford Road, Littlehampton, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 7 October.
*Philip Day, 62, was arrested at 8.10pm on 21 June in Balmoral Close, Rustington, after he was seen leaving an off licence and getting into a car. Day, of Balmoral Close, Rustington, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 7 October.
*Helen Gramson, 32, was arrested at 8.25pm on 21 June after her car was seen being driven at speed in St Marks Lane, Horsham. Gramson, of Longfellow Close, Horsham, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Crawley Magistrates' Court on 9 July.
*James Walker, 33, was arrested at 1.45am on Sunday 22 June after he was seen driving at speed in Bohemia Road, Hastings. Walker, of Turnberry Close, St Leonards, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 13 August.
*Arkan Al-Asad, 40, was arrested at 2.30am on 22 June in Broadwater Street West, Worthing, after officers were called to a report of a vehicle being driven slowly on the A27. Al-Asad, of Bower Place, Maidstone, was charged with failing to provide a specimen and was released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 7 October.
*Zena Strevens, 41, was arrested at 3.30am on 22 June after she was seen driving at speed in Hillfield Road, Selsey. Strevens, of Glen Crescent, Selsey, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 7 October.
*Elizabeth Cogbill, 20, was arrested at 3.30am on 22 June after a crash on the A272 in Billingshurst. Cogbill, of Charrington Way, Broadbridge Heath, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 14 October.
*Stuart Brown, 33, was arrested at 6.05am on 22 June after officers stopped his car at the Ashcombe roundabout in Lewes. Brown, of Qua Fen Common, Soham, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 7 August.
*David Hooper, 44, was arrested at 9.50pm on 22 June after officers saw him driving a vehicle with a faulty light in Goring Road, Worthing. Hooper, of Lychpole Walk, Worthing, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 14 October.
*Mohammad Ayubi, 45, was arrested at 2.05am on Monday (23 June) after officers saw his car being driven with a faulty light in The Upper Drive, Hove. Ayubi, of Lynchet Close, Brighton, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 7 August.
*Mark Hewett, 40, was arrested at 1.10am on Tuesday (24 June) after he pulled in front of a patrol car in Beacon Road, Hastings. Hewett, of Farley Way, Fairlight, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 13 August.
